Draw an equilateral triangle with
sides of 9 5/8 inches. It should just fit on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper.
Find the center of each side, and draw three lines, to show the four equal
triangles within the big triangle. Cut out the big triangle, and crease
folds along those three inner lines. Now add a toothpick at all three points,
fastening toothpick tip to paper tip with scotch tape. Fold the toothpicks
in, at the tape joint, so they meet each other in a point. Join them with
another piece of tape. If your toothpicks are two inches long, you will
have about the correct line proportions.
