The whole group is up shit creek without a paddle. Warning.  Warning.  Extra hot summers coming.  Drought more commonplace.  When drought happens, water quality starts to really matter.

An easy measure of the health of your waterways is the spillzone where they enter the sea.  Take a look at the condition of your waterways.

This Spirit of the Water is the cosmic prompt behind the RiverKeeper group that takes shape in our county.  Ilene is part of a 4-H group, and enjoying the influence of Maia, Ilene writes a grant for an ambitious project.  Job Corps accepts and 7 people are hired to be inspect for and correct to a standard of wellness at the creek. 

Corrected Farms are certified as BMP-Compliant and listed as grantworthy to receive the monies of the special food project.  So many farmers and gardeners are now in position for steady income for services rendered.  So much improvement in the cohesion and mutual respect in the community. There is high quality food, and work and pay for many people who need a job.

Maia (Ilene) crafts the Bill of Rights for Natural Waterways, and uses it as a standard in their Job Corps project.

This is the Bill of Rights for Natural Waterways.

When Ilene goes to the creekside to call out to the plants and animals, she pronounces her land / herself as held and subject to this law.  It gives her promise to bring conditions up to the optimal level.  When the spirits of the plants and animals look up at Ilene they see Maia, and all fairies etc convene, taking occupancy in the space that is claimed for them by Ilene.   Fairies  for each of the worker insects that tend the bottom of the creek.  They state their grievances and together decide to help Ilene make a video about how to maintain the creek.
